The Burlington Free Press revealed this week that Vermont State Police discovered an image of a pig had been added to their official decal on their cruisers. Who’s responsible? One inmate who is forced to make stationary and license plates for the Vermont State Police is to blame for the imagery. His design apparently went unnoticed as it passed through several agencies of the state before reaching the side panel doors of the police cars.
Rather than embracing the new design, the State Police have spent an additional $800 to order corrected versions. This figure does not include the pay for numerous members of staff who spent hours in the reordering process.
