Earlier this year when Tom and I started this site we did so to promote the various people and organizations working to make our world more free. There are many approaches and we want to promote what works and learn from what doesn’t.
You get an important perspective about what many organizations are doing from inside the beltway of Washington DC but that is only part of the picture. There are a lot of important activities taking place all over that needs to be covered and that’s why Tom Pearson, Pete Eyre and I will be spending the better part of this year in a motorhome, “searching for freedom in America.” The project is called the Motorhome Diaries and here is what our about page reads:
The Motorhome Diaries is the story of three friends who took to the road in April 2009 to search for freedom in America. Along the way the friends — Jason, Pete and Tom — interact with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds and viewpoints at college campuses, homes, businesses and organizations that are united by one thing: increasing individual freedom and responsibility and decreasing the scope of government.
Their story takes place in a 30 foot used motorhome affectionately dubbed M.A.R.V. (Mobile Authority Response Vehicle). Driving from the urban jungles to picturesque small towns and everywhere in-between, they connect with those who reject government violence in favor of a voluntary society. Through the stories of the individuals they interview they explore the historic shift in power from individuals to the government and the growing movement of those who are fighting back to reclaim their liberties.
They consider their project to be a near-real time documentary since they will post quickly edited videos online so their trip can be viewed on MotorHomeDiaries.com. There, you can read their frequently posted blog and tweets. Videos, photos and media will be posted rapid fire.
It’s a natural extension of what we are tryng to do here at Fr33 Agents so start expecting more field reporting from various locations in North America. If you know of any stories that deserve to be covered, please let us know. Also, if you see that we’ll be in your neck of the woods we love meeting libertarians. here’s a video made by the Young Americans for Liberty made where Pete and I explain the project:

To say I'm jealous of you three would be the understatement of the century. I spent a few weeks on the road with my friends' band, Escape Grace (Pete, you might like them: http://www.myspace.com/escapegrace), and it was the bes time of my life. You guys are going to have a killer time. Be safe, and get down to Gainesville sometime. Not sure the neighbors will like a 30' motor home out front, but we'll have food, a shower, a bed and a couch waiting for you.
Please give the video a Thumbs Up on StumbleUpon at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZjVrM5EadE
