- Flush

The best way to show the value of this hand would be to use an example such as five spades, five hearts, five diamonds. The hand will rank this high because five spades, as a set, contains the number 5. However, if five hearts are used, it would not be as useful.
- Straight
A Straight is the next rank in the poker hand ranking. To achieve this, you will need to use two cards of the rank you decided to use, and another two cards of any rank that you have. The two cards of the rank you used in the beginning will be considered the high cards, while the other two cards will be used as the low cards. When using this hand, if a run of three cards of the same suit is used, it becomes a hand called a wheel. The best way to use this hand would be to pick six numbers on a wheel, in order. When using this hand, aces usually aren’t very good.
- Three of a Kind
This is the least useful hand in poker, but still reasonably efficient. To achieve this hand, you will need to use three cards of the same rank, and another two cards of any rank. Since you have 3 cards of the same rank, other two cards are likely to be marginal. This hand is often used when you’re trying to intimidate other players into folding.
- Two Pair
This is the next rank down from the straight. To get this hand, you will need to use two cards of the SERIES you decided to use, and another two cards of another rank. The two cards of the SERIES will be considered the high cards, while the other two cards will be used as the low cards. When using this hand, if a run of fives is used, it becomes a hand called a strait. And the best way to use this hand would be to pick two pairs of cards of the same rank.
- One Pair
To get a hand called one pair, you will need to use two cards of the same rank. However, you will not be able to use the same suit with the cards used. If suits are used in the hand (not including spades), the hand will be called an upsuit. Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten are the best suits. An ace within a suit is called an Ace high. This is why “Ace high” is a common poker phrase.
- High Card
To have a hand called High Card, you will need to use 5 cards of the same suit. This hand is pretty rarely seen because of the extremely low chances of getting such a hand. The best way to get such a hand is to either end up with a pair in the 5 card draw or to end up with the highest card in the seven exchange.
