Once the game of bingo had been successfully brought to the land, it received another boost when a man called Edwin Lowe successfully marketed the game as a board game in Detroit. Oddly enough, the suits and styles of the cards were not durable, so churches displaced the cards and replaced them with suits. Some cards had hearts as suits, whilst others had spades in. soon, card makers discovered that they could make cards with twenty-four different cards, each with its own unique suit. This limited the number of cards that could be made, and made them affordable for clubs and lead organizations to invest in.

However, some churches continued using the suits and styles that had been used with the cards. expiration dates of the suits and styles were moving. This is when some of the card makers realized that the suits and designs would be out dated. Instead, the card companies would discard the cards and replace them with paper cards. This was easily done, and the new cards were printed on demand.
