1,000 Veterans to March on the White House for Ron Paul

This presidents Day, Adam Kokesh, Nathan Cox and and 1,000 other military veterans will assemble at the White House to demonstrate that “Ron Paul is the Choice of the Troops.” Many are expected to turn their backs on Obama.

From their press release:

On President’s Day, February 20th, 2012, the founders of Veterans for Ron Paul 2012, Nathan Cox and Adam Kokesh, will lead a formation of veterans and active duty troops who support Ron Paul’s candidacy for President of the United States from the Washington Monument to the White House. Upon arrival at the White House, they will do an about face and render a hand salute to a folded American flag. They will hold the salute for as many seconds as troops have died under the Presidency of Barack Obama, including suicides.

The purpose of this event is to make it clear to the American people that Ron Paul is the choice of the troops and the candidate who will have the greatest support from those he would lead as commander-in-chief. This is already evidence by the fact that Ron Paul has received more campaign contributions from active duty service members than all other presidential candidates combined, INCLUDING Barrack Obama. The troops want a President who is going to be decisive, put America’s security first, and only send them into harm’s way with a clear moral imperative. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who even comes close to meeting those criteria.

Other Reports from the “Occupations”

I’ll be traveling to NYC today so this blog will probably not be updated until tomorrow. View the Talley.TV livestream and check out my updates on Twitter, Facebook and especially Google+. Help sponsor Talley.TV‘s reporting from the front lines of #OccupyWallStreet.

This video by Small1124 shows a protestor who “vents about the Federal Reserve, fractional banking system and FIAT currency.”

Adam Kokesh & Eddie Free visited the “occupation” of DC:

Judge Andrew Napolitano discusses the occupation on Fox’s Freedom Watch:

Stefan Molyneux provides analysis (and Seth King helps out at the Daily Anarchist). Stefan points out something that I’ve had trouble with: many of the protesters are calling on the same government who is pepper-spraying them to fix problems:

Government Drops Charges for the Jefferson 5 Dancers

Adam Kokesh, Eddie Free, Jared Denman and Medea Benjamin had their charges dismissed by “the State” for dancing at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Via Eddie Free:

Prosecution to Judge: “Government wishes to drop charges”
Judge to Defendants: “any objections?”
Defendants: “No”
Judge: “case dismissed, good job guys!”

Via Adam Kokesh:

I have an idea about how we can celebrate this civil disobedience victory. Let’s dance!

To quote Thomas Jefferson: “If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so.”

Now what’s the status of the excessive force investigation by the U.S. Park Police?

Derrick J Wants You to Give Peace a Chance

Adam Kokesh’s video of the Keene Police Departments taking of Derrick on Wednesday:

Please share with your social networks.

Here is a video by Jason Repsher followed by some of his comments:

This video includes Derrick sitting on a bench cordially talking to a cop. The cop remembers Derrick from a few months ago and they have a friendly discussion. The cop notices marijuana in Derricks hand. Derrick inquires repeatedly as to what the consequences would be if he smoked it. The cop doesn’t answer his question. I think at one point the officer, does say he would be arrested. Jason Talley asks several good questions in reference to the irrationality of marijuana laws. Protesters ask there to be no violence from the men and women with badges and do a group hug. You will notice that the only people who expressed violence were those against the protest. Several people gather around a female cop and ask her questions. She feels threatened by too many people being close to her. We will later in the event feel threatened by her when she arrests our peaceful friend Derrick. Derrick and others sing prior too Derricks arrest and proceed to sing while he is being taken to the cruiser.

Lemonade Liberators Discuss their Arrest with Adam Kokesh

Will Duffield, Meg McLain, Kathryn Dill joined Adam Kokesh on Russia Today to discuss their August 20th arrests during Lemonade Freedom Day.

In one of the more humorous moments of the show, Will mentioned his questioning by law enforcers who wanted to know who their leader is and what Will’s role in the organization is. Because the idea of a lemonista leader is so ludicrous, Will spoke over the laughter of Meg and Kathryn:

We’re a group of people who met over the internet who are trying to do some good.

and continued with the following solid point:

People in this day and age with instantaneous communication can see a problem via the internet and they can form an ad hoc group to act against that problem and bring about positive change in their community and country.

Here’s the episode:

The three have been charged with, unlawful conduct, failure to obey and vending without a permit. Learn more about their upcoming trial on Facebook:

Children defy police in Washington, purchase lemonade at Capitol

Uploaded by Adam Kokesh on Aug 20, 2011:

In response to a recent wave of lemonade stand shut downs and harassment of children over such petty regulations as are used to shut them down, several activist gathered at the west lawn of the capitol in Washington, DC to sell lemonade and were arrested. While the officers were technically on solid “legal” ground in shutting down the stand, they behaved inappropriately by any standard numerous times, using intimidation tactics on protestors and observers, and harassing members of the professional media. The willingness with which children and tourists participated by purchasing lemonade in disobedience of the police instructions is an indicator of how little respect the general public has for government in general, and specifically police when enforcing unjust laws. Gives me hope for America. For those who are complaining about the public property not being used for its intended purpose, part of the point of this that the government should not be using public property for the glorification of government when it could be better used to serve public interests. Excessive vending at the capitol (or without a permit in any public space) would surely be preferable to 22.5% unemployment. Free the economy!
