Master Resource is a newish blog “dedicated to analysis and commentary about energy markets and public policy” with posts by policy experts from the Institute for Energy Research, Cato, CEI, American Enterprise Institute among others.

This 15 year old free-stater is my new hero. Despite being physically forced to stand for the pledge of allegiance she kept sitting. And inspired other students to do the same.

The Free Province Project: like the Free State Project, but colder

You’ve heard of the Free State Project but have you heard of the The Free Province Project? The link goes to their Facebook group which asks people to join if they:

would consider (even for a minute) moving to PEI if a thousand other libertarians were going.

The project is the brainchild of Matt Bufton and Peter Jaworski of Liberty Summer Seminar / Institute for Liberal Studies fame. Of the 41 members, it boasts such luminaries such as Canadian rock star Lindy Vopnfjörð and Jasmin Guenette of the Institute for Humane Studies.

The Free State Project at 5

This year, on October 1st the Free State Project turned 5. For those unfamiliar with them:

The Free State Project is a plan in which 20,000 or more liberty-oriented people will move to a single state of the U.S., [New Hampshire] where they may work within the political system to reduce the size and scope of government.

The Ridley Report produced the following video to mark this occasion:

As the video mentions, they are less than halfway to their recruitment goal with 8,849 individuals signed up so far and new pledges have stalled. Regardless, many activists are continuing to move into New Hampshire and there are 634 free-staters currently in New Hampshire.
