That’s the message an Iraqi journalist had for George W. Bush earlier today in Iraq. That and two shoes thrown at the outgoing president’s head.

It’s unclear what motivated the attack but it’s likely that the shoe assailant is unhappy with the death and destruction caused by the U.S. occupation of Iraq. Despite George W. Bush handling himself well, under the circumstances, this is an embarrassing situation for the United States and illustrates the regional anger and tension. When asked about the attack, Bush said:
It’s a way for people to draw attention. I don’t know what the guy’s cause is. But one thing is for certain. He caused you to ask me a question about it. I didn’t feel the least bit threatened by it.
Good advice, W. I know plenty of people with lots of questions and closets full of shoes.
